When I hear wargames I can't help but to think back to the hours I used to play games like Blitzkreig, Panzer Leader, Afrika Korps, D-Day, Gettysburg... I can't list all the Avalon Hill games I have in my bookcases that used to be a source of entertainment for myself and my buds. Anyone out there still have these or play them? There used to be a huge wargamers convention in Maryland..
just made me think when i saw this category

I play the digital versions.

Games by Matrix Games and the like, my favorite being John Tiller's Campaign Series and his other games like Squad Battles.

I grew up on Harford Rd, north of Avalon Hill in Maryland. I still have LOTS of their games and wish I could play more. Diplomacy, Firepower, and Dauntless were my favorites.

My favorites were by Yaquinto. Have a copy of Attack of the Mutants on the shelf behind me, and some other wargames by Victory Games. But I grew up playing Armor, by Yaquinto. Part of a trilogy of games that included Armor, Panzer and 88. Hyper realistic tank/infantry combat games.

Still play a few of the lighter ones with my wife, including Planet Busters and The Awful Green Things from Outer Space. I still also have hard board anniversary edition of OGRE I used to play a lot with my friends.
