While not nearly as impressive as the image posted by ocabj.... Aerial Lift Bridge in Duluth, MN. Shot in late November of this year with a Canon 7d. 5sec exposure while camera was sitting on the corner of a 1" steel railing on the lake shore (with me hovering over it to make sure it didn't go for a swim).

OK, I'll be serious...

This was snapped yesterday for a guy buying this rifle. Shot with no special set-up, Canon 40D using green box auto settings my Speedlight 380EX and either my Tamron 10-24 or 28-75 lens... fuck if I can remember! Oh and I was pissed... like I am now!

Yup ... my two minutes with the royalty of Alaska. I had two minutes to get my stuff set, take pictures and get out.

My website hasn't been updated in probably about a year so it's not all that accurate.

For the animal inclined, Canon 40D with either a 100-400L or 80-200L (can't remember which one I took to the zoo that day)

Again, gotta right click and view image to see it in full resolution.

Edit - forgot the info. Nikon D70, Nikkor 18-70mm at 48mm, f/4.5, 1/50s. Handheld.

Yeah, I know it's over-saturated and has some blown highlights. But I like it. First attempt at a silhouette photo. (Once I find all of my back-up drives this is one I really want to see if I can improve with the recent photo editors.)

Eta; The sensor apparently was the same as the D2H, which being two years old is sad. I didn't buy the thing. I'm pushing for a move to Canon, but we're bought in on glass... The 1DII was a similar time frame but was much better.

The D3 is pretty awesome. Better than the top end Canon bodies.
2005-2008 it was in the line. It's not bad in daylight, but hit 800 ISO and it's useless. I really would say the Rebel XT would perform better.

Yeah, the D3s and D3x pretty much stomps anything Canon has right now. The number of pros switching sure shows a trend.

Edit: and OP, it's spelled "CANON"

Some classic "heavy metal' for ya...

Nikon D70, 18-70mm at 25mm, f/8 at 1/100s, iso 200, supported on a monopod.

From the 1st Cavalry Division Museum at Ft Hood, TX - some interesting history at the various museums on post. Good way to spend a day if you are into military history and are in the Central Texas area.

Here's a little d90 for you:

D90, SB600 off camera around 4:00 bouncing up and over

50mm 1.8, probably on a 2x tele

You can pull the rest of the info from the exif

More d90 representin'

This one was most likely the 18-105 kit lens, with the SB600 on camera, bouncing upward. Photobucket kindly stripped the EXIF data so I'm guessing here.

Amazing how people get caught up in the number of megapixels but to take nice photos you don't need it in most cases.

Don't assume the camera with higher MP is better now a days.
