Anyone have a Logitech G500?

Is the scroll wheel supposed to be free spinning or is the one UPS just delivered broke?
Edit: never mind it appears that "useless" button just below the scroll wheel turns on and off the "clicks". Still not as tight as the scroll wheel on the MX518 I upgraded from.

My MX9 or whatever has that freewheel. Love it.

it's bad when you use the wheel to scroll weapons and that button to jump
I'm still trying to figure out how to take advantage of the extra 4,100 DPI.
I've been using 800 dpi as default for many many years and am stuck in my ways.

yeah, free wheeling is bad in most games, but it's great when it comes to scrolling in web pages or other apps

Yet this is a "gaming" mouse not a "web surfing other app" mouse.

I am running 5600 DPI, I think it is a little low.
