Well since it means one with no faith, that's what it means to me....

I understand people really don't know what it means and hear "terrorists" talk about infidels think if they embrace it, that will poke fun at the enemy by excepting it. My Christian faith makes it difficult for me to "embrace" the title - if anyone has ever studied the books of different faiths, they all talk about Infidels.

*edit* - I didn't realize this was in the deployed section - but I'm sute my thoughts on it wouldn't change

It also means this - Infidel (literally "one without faith") is an English noun, meaning one who doubts or rejects the central tenets of a religion other than one's own or has no religious beliefs; especially in reference to Christianity or Islam.

I am an Infidel as I reject the tenets of Islam as I am a Christian.
