Army Combat Action Badge for all non-infantry people. I'm AF so this thing can never be worn on my uniform but I'm so proud of the job we've done so far and we have only a few months left thank goodness.

My chest is a little sore from the holes ;)

I remember when I got my CIB, my chest hurt for a week. But I got mine in the first month of deployment, so I got the rest of the year to repay it to the rest of the guys.

Congrats

For an AF warrior not being able to wear the CAB their uniforms is pure CS. My background is Army Infantry. You have my respect. Well done.

Congrats! Glad it's not posthumous.

Sucks you can't wear it on the ABU.

Congrats. What do you do that had you shacked up with army? Are you a JATAC, EOD, or a snap terminal operator?

We called them CIVs because they'd bend into a V shape after so many punches.

Good job, joshuat. Keep up the great work.

Got mine a couple months ago, congrats.

A: What did you get this for?

Q: Someone tried to kill him.

I won't wear mine until something else happens though. I need it to be a little more personal.

people tried to kill me a couple of times, but my brigade's S1 42A's don't feel that I rate a CIB unless I opened my Caiman's door and shot back.

I think that's how the USN thinks too.

We had a few well aimed rockets coming at us and hit kind of uncomfortably close. It's not the first attack and won't be the last. Alot of people are run for cover guys and wait until the dust settles, not me, I'm a charge to my DFP( defensive fighting postition) and get ready guy so that's what I did. The flying lawndart went thru a chain linked fence, thru a alaskan T barrier, thru a roof of tin and wood and landed on a bed. Kind of funny that it did all that damage and didn't even blow up. Oh darn!

As for my job, I'm a vehicle driver so I drive MRAP's but also tasked to be a vehicle mechanic, supply person, driver, tower guard at night, and mail man. I get around.

Thanks for the congrats guys. I know what I did didn't save anyones life or save billions of dollars but my leadership felt what we did was enough to earn the award. I'm grateful for it but do I think what I did was above and beyond? Well I did take it like I got it and I got a hand shake after hehe.

Wait what? You're 11B right? And you got a CAB? I saw a ton of guys from your BN on the way home sporting their CIB's for (as far as I know) performing the same BDE mission.

No, I didn't get a CIB because the enemy contact occurred when I extended with the 155th BCT, they were all kinds jacked up, especially in the paperwork department and its been really hard getting my organic unit to do anything for us.
