For starters, I am a middle class wage earner who does not have an advanced grasp of how commercial banking and the securities business inter-twine.
H.R. 1489 is being touted as an answer to the indebtedness that our Federal Gov. is burying us with.
It claims a reinstatement of the Glass-Steagall Act will make positive change.
Is this plausible? I believe if we don't change the current way of doing business in D.C., the future of the dollar as the world's reserve currency is doomed and we will suffer like never before.

I would like to see it reinstated. But slim chance of that happening. Remeber, the govt. does not operate with with logic or reason in mind.
