Where do you buy your physical PMs?

Just bought 20 peace dollars online from Gainesville Coins. This is the fourth or fifth time I've bought from them. Shipping is sluggish, but prices are pretty good. I almost always buy online now, as the coin shops around me charge ridiculously high over spot for junk silver. I've also used and had good experiences with APMEX and Provident Metals.

So, where do you buy your physical PMs? Online? Locally?

When I started buying I looked at them all. I finally decided on Westminster, http://www.coin-rare.com/silver-bullion.aspx

After figuring in shipping they were the cheapest at my price point. It is slow getting the product but that's because I like mailing in a check to avoid wire/cc fees.

I called with a question once and the customer service was great.

I too am interested if there are any other sources for PM.

Thanks,

I would think face-to-face cash sales would be best; no shipping, see the merchandise, haggle a little.

They are also who you might need to deal with if you ever want to sell in a limited time-frame.

Northwest Territorial Mint, and they offer free shipping.

Gainesville is local to me so I can and do drive there occasionally as well as coin guy right in my town. I have also bought from Westminster, Provident, and Monarch. I like the Monarch poured silver bars.

I do a bit of online private buying as well. If you hunt ebay, you can find occasional deals there too.

Over the last year, all of it has come from a guy I met at a yardsale in '11.

I pay 80-90% of melt value for 90% coins to troy ounces.

I've just about exhausted his supply though.

fwiw, prior to using him, I bought from APMEX.
