I bought a bike a month ago and finally road it for the first time. I did 40 miles yesterday and 50 today. Ofcourse I had a good time! I picked up a rf1100 helmet, some good gloves and a like new alpinestar jacket off a friend. Now I want to get some good pants. Are the reinforced jeans any good? Or am I better off with leather or the textile pants? Im leaning towards leather. I plan on only taking my bike out for riding, not as transportation from point A to B. So i really don't care how I look I am more concerned about safety.
Any advice would be great.

Then buy a set of racing leathers, either a two-piece outfit or a one-piece suit.
Which A* jacket do you have? Some will already have an appropriate attachment zipper, so you could just buy a set of A* pants that would mate up to it instead of an entirely new suit.
I ride a harley, so I just wear a pair of blue jeans that I haven't washed in 6 months.
You might want to wear some clean ones.just in case you lay it down . You don't want them using a wire brush to pull them dirty cloth through your delicate road rash!
Jeans with kevlar panels in the knees and butt, specifically cut for riding too! About $90.
Obviously leather is best and textile is 2nd, but the kevlar jeans are nice for commuting since I can wear them around all day at work and not look like a Power Ranger.
I wear Alpinestars Reflex shin/knee guards under my Draggin' Jeans.
