MASSIVE Defense cuts and the impact on America's/Allies security
According to what I have gathered from the astronomical and severely damaging Defense cuts (if they get away with it), the Army stands to be cut out of EIGHT Brigades just to start with! Also would be the F35 Joint Strike Fighter. Work has it 100,000 men and women very probably would be cut and can we even fathom the economic hardship and impact on entire communities, States and industries, and our allies...IF we have any left! Imagine ALL the Billions, if not Trillions thrown away in Research and Developement of every system being tossed.

Yep, going back to the Clinton days.
Now we can start buying stuff we really need, like M1 tanks and aircraft carriers.
After a decade of light infantry warfare, the ones that get hit the hardest are going to be those guys along with the close support assets like Army aviation.
The F35 might get canned, and the F22 could be in trouble for the time being. But in the end Im sure the sparkly toys will get paid for at the expense of stuff that might actually get used one day.

Isn't it interesting that China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Brazil, Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Chile, Vietnam, etc. are all building up as the West is taking capability down?
Of course it's all part of the plan. In order for there to be a more "equal" showdown in this century for WWIII - the West has to be brought down to the level of everyone else...
If the U.S. was so worried about Mideast nations hurting Americans, why does the U.S. Gov't "sell" (give away) military kit to them?
If the U.S. was so worried about the rise of China, then why does the U.S. Gov't support more business being shipped to China?
Simple. It's called a 'United Earth Directorate' - hence WWI saw a League of Nations and WWII saw a United Nations, now WWIII will be for a United Earth Directorate - which will be a failure like the last two and the dance will NEVER end.
It hasn't in 8,000 years of human civilization. From the time of Sumer up until now. Hold on right, for most aint going to make it...
But of course such thought will be dismissed - for shallow minds make not for deep thinkers...

The fly in the ointment is that american citizens bought 65% of all new manufactured firearms in 2007. I'd bet that it's more like 80% now.
