How would they? i mean every media-hyped gun crime creates a stir amongst the less informed non-gun owners, but clamping down on the mentality of preparedness? What would they do, limit how much you could stockpile? Ban bunkers from being built?
This guy committed two crimes (multiple murder and illegal construction on public property) minimum, proving that he had about as much in common with most of the prepper/survival8ist community as Bundy had with your average gun owner. Bad example, I guess, since Bundy was a middle-aged overweight white dude, but you get my point. The only thing that could be legislated without stirring a small riot would be some form of gun registration bill, and even that might cause a small riot.
