OK.. I'm really surprised. I picked up a Washburn J-6 archtop for $400. Normal price for these. It's an early Korean model and is made surprisingly well though certainly out of laminates. When I got home I plugged it into a Lab Series 2X12 and without much fiddling at all this thing sounds great. Woody. Thick. Rich. And it plays as well as any other archtop I've played. Over the years I've been lucky to have a number of really great guitars. I bought this because I can leave it out in our dry New Mexico climate and it doesn't have to live in the humidified closet all the time. I'm really amazed at the bang for the buck on these.

Very nice. I have had a few Washburns over the years. Loved all of them.
Congrats. There are actually quite a few affordable archtops out there these days.
