Armalite SPR
Thats nice... I would like to know how the barrel attaches.
Jeremy
Suggestions:
TACTICAL BACON RAIL ATTACHMENT!!!!!!!
You make it, and I'll buy an upper the day it comes out!!!!
...unless you send me one to test out and review

Make one with an integrated hand stop
nice job Armalite
I'll second the integrated hand stop
MSRP?
Nice product Armalite... I suggest making a carbine length variant available, at least as an upper. I'll buy one of those, but I have zero interest in any mid-length.
The general concensus on the boards tends to lean towards long rails. 12-14" very nice looking product though. one of the better ones I've seen so far from this years shot.
The Carbine will be the first version on the market, the mid will be close on it's heals. An integrated handstop rail is already modeled, as well as a version of the rail with a 3" Picatinny Rail section with the remaider of the rail smooth. As Mr. Westrom said, any suggestions for other rail options will be apreciated.

Some people like VFGs forward, some mid, some rear. Rail sections to match, on only a third of the surface, would make sense.
Integral light attachment comes to mine, left/right rail for the 6P, using your thumb to activate it, Magpul Dynamics style.
Also an angled undergrip could be useful... Like a similar rail-attaching product that just came up from a plastic-maker,

.
I'd imagine it requires a special extended barrel nut wrench.
The barrel nut and wrench are actually very compact, if you've seen Mega's integrated handguard upper, the barrel nut is similar to theirs, just with more lugs. Since everything from the side rails down is removable, there is easy access to the barrel nut. Although the barrel nut is shrouded by the upper half of the handguard the clearance for the wrench is such that 90°+ of wrench swing is allowed before the wrench needs to be repositioned (though this usually isn't needed). The wrench is basically a crow's-foot wrench designed to accommodate a 1/2" drive torque wrench.
So standard barrels are good to go?
Jeremy
Yes, it's a simple Barrel Nut swap. Also, since the internal geometry is identical to a standard Upper, any caliber conversion that a stock Upper wiil accept without modification, should work equally well in this Upper.
Don't know how many have seen this but armalite has a release page with a price on a complete carbine, 5.56, 16" Chrome lined 1:7 twist, tactical two stage trigger, price $1439

Can't wait to see what their 6.8 SPC offering costs with their new barrel specs.
It's almost like they are listening to what customers want to buy...

I am going to seriously have to look at Armalite this year. This is the ONLY product that has really got my attention from SHOT.
