What do you all think about the new turn with Rick in the last episode? Do you like this?

I felt the opening of the whole series in the beginning was stupid. Waking up and not looking for clothing? Shoes? Walking right by open vehicles and not looking for keys or to check operation? No weapons check? C'mon!!! He is a Sheriff Deputy for crying out loud!!! He didn't even think about that? (muttering to himself...)

I no longer have cable - so I can't watch any of this seasons episodes.

I have a friend that has dvr'd the first part of the season and I got a chance to watch 3 episodes

can't say that I have been impressed with how season 2 has gone so far - I don't know if he has continued saving the episode up to this point, so maybe i'll get a chance to watch season 2

but from what i've heard from others - this season's episodes are dragging along.

I was really hoping for something good to have come out of this season - maybe and maybe not

just my $.02

I can cut the characters a little slack since most are not LEO or military, not outdoor types, probably still adjusting. But I wanted to reach through my TV and throttle Glenn and Rick in that bar for so many security failures on a basic level.....and then Rick does a John Wesley Hardin on the threat.Which is what his character needed because Shane seemed to be stealing the leadership role more and more often, and that's understandable because nobody but Dale(and Otis, briefly) has seen the psycho side of Shane yet.

Pretty good Mozambique drill on both guys.

That was Ricks moment to shine as leader and Hershel will probably ask Rick and a select few of the group to stay, while Shane must leave.

I think he put too many rounds into the big guy......should have done just the one to the head...a .357 does quite a number up close to a noggin....

If you watch,he shoots the skinny guy in the head, and when he shoots the big guy,he shoots him twice in the chest. Then walks up,and follows it up with one in the head.

I think Rick knows theyre all already infected. I think thats what Dr. Gener whispered in his ear at the CDC. I think it explains his "theres no hope" speech to Herschel in the bar. And,I think it explains his new attitude change.

a simple double tap does not tell me that Rick has special insight that all are 'infected'. I think he was just doing what so many gun forum commandos have advocated for years.

I think Rick could tell that they were sleazy. They really presented themselves that way from the very start. He was right in excersizing caution and being prepared to act if the situation turned ugly. I think most of us can tell a sleaze bag from a long ways away. He was listening to his inner voice. Now lets see if everyone makes it back to the farm. I have a feeling that Herschel is not going to make it.....

Rick could tell they were up to no good ( by his evasive answers) but Glen and Herschel blew it. As far as too many rounds, Rick was pissed, adrenaline flowing... you the the idea.

I think after this presentation, Hersh will likely be happy to have Rick around.

Of course......there is a new infected at the farm........

I have a feeling those two already knew about the farm, and the particulars on the people there.

Probably followed Shane back from his trip with Otis or they met up with Merle and he found Ricks notes.

Yeah I'm thinking the mom must have clawed her and bite her during that little tug and pull when she thought she was "more dead"

I think the girl might be infected too! Those to guys at the bar where just random sleaze bags so sheriff could be tough again and show the old man he needs help protecting the farm maybe?
But back to everyone infected comment. No. I think what the doc whispered in his ear at the CDC or whatever it was called. Was something along the lines of "we did this. We made a weapon" or something like that. That's why he said no hope cus he knows how bad the infection is. Kind of like 28 days later. Experiment or weapon gone wrong.

I would say anyone who had zombie blood and guts splattered on them has the infection, their ok as long as their alive but if they die they'll turn...and the way some of the group have had z-blood on them

I am not sure the girl that collapsed is infected, but I do think that Carol may be. Didnt like the way she had blood on her after dissapearing into the woods

Anyone else notice the arm that fell off of the truck when they were hauling off the dead walkers from the barn. Idk, kinda seemed a bit deliberate to have focused on it. Maybe foreshadowing Rick giving the governor his "high-five". It seems like the shit's about to hit the fan

The girl went to her mother and hugged her...if she also KISSED her......saliva transfer...

.I see a lot of bad hygiene in the group when handling zeds....bad mojo....

I entertain the same theory. After all, "Walking Dead" can have a double meaning, those still alive are already dead or infected. I think the season will end with Carl popping Shane in the woods to protect his Dad. That way they can steer back to the graphic novel somewhat.

I never looked at it that way. I thought that whole scene was trying to show how desensitized the group was compared to Herschel's family. Like they had more of a stomach for it.

The title refers to the living, not the dead. That makes me think you're right.

Seems to me that Lori is In love with bad-boy Shane. She is taking full advantage of Rick's heroics in the bar to pit Rick against Shane in a 'death match'. I believe she totally believes Shane will kill Rick and then she and Shane can get back together. But, the bar shoot out proved that there is more to Rick than most believe. Rick will either kill Shane or bitch-slap him so bad that he is shamed into leaving the group.

Whatever happens my 14 year old son and I watch and enjoy the show together. It's funny, when I was a kid I would watch cowboy movies with my toy lever action Winchester. Now, my son watches TWD with either a real AK or a real AR while field stripping the weapon over and over...hhmmmmm...

Fat bastard pissed on the floor of the bar and he was a slob, glad he got one in the dome(zombie apolcolyspae you should keep your manners especially now when meeting new ppl). He then saved the Dbag that was shooting at him from the roof idk about that.

Hershel showed what Rick was trying to do that is to keep his humanity or whats left, Ricks fully capable of everything Shane is he's just trying to keep his humanity in some ways. Honor in the face of absolute destruction I guess.

Yeah, I told my wife she prob has a 'slow burn'...just a scratch, but enough of the virus or the shit that turns you in to a walker. Like whats her name in Dawn of the Dead 2004.

I'm confused about the whole thing with, IIRC his name, Randall.

His buddies were in the bar and they were douches from the start. I get the vibe he killed the cop he got the gun from or at least left him instead of helping him. "We've all done things, blah, blah, blah"

Their buddies wanted into the bar to find the 2 douches, shooting up the place. Who know's if Randall was one of them. Randall shot at Rick and crew as they exited the bar from the roof top. His buddies left him to die. Now Rick wants to save his life. I kept saying to my wife, "They'll shoot him and leave him. He's Zombie chow". They sure as hell didn't have time to do surgery to cut his leg off.

Damn, Maggie really fills out her jeans, don't she?

.

I don't much like TWD any more. It's a soap opera that just happens to have some zombies in the background.

I like where they are finally taking it.

I have read most of the way through the books and it is much more pedal to the metal, and a lot darker. Hopefully this is the beginning of the dark turn that Rick is going to take.
