Other than showing certain points of interest around your area. Does it have any other uses?

I ask because a few of the points near me have been out of business for about 15+ years.

What is shown for my area is fairly accurate but it is really incomplete, a lot of stuff in place that's not shown on the map.

As am I, I'm sitting right on top of a Walmart and two blocks away from that there is a huge gun store.

While yes it is an urban environment it would be easy to move around and my neighbors houses are two stories and looking down upon an empty field and a direct view to said Walmart so I could easily have someone set overwatch while I move from place to place.
