Fictional Weapons that would make Z-Day awesome.
Just want to see what everyone would love to have on Z-day, if either were possible.
1: The Lightsaber. It's just badass as is.
2: The pulse rifles out of Aliens. 10mm explosive tipped caseless, 'nuff said.
3: The BFG 9000. Just for shits and grins.
Z-day would last about 3 hours.

It's not necessarily fictional since its been in development forever but a rail gun would do some damage to a good sized horde
Set to kill.
Gimme a couple Destroyer Droids
An AR-10 with a flame thrower attachment.
A rocket launcher like Boba Fett had; it would launch rockets from his backpack.
Phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range.
Plasma powerguns as described in Hammer's Slammers. Good enough for those top tier mercenaries.
Iron man suit? Yes please.
I would like one of the M1-L1 tripple pulse assault rifles from Deep Rising
A slingshot slinging unstable hydrogen terminator batteries.
Mini a-bombs, FTW.

fuck, yes. THIS.
Flame thrower mode, my personal favorite!

You don't need fictional, a mini-gun would make Z-Day the day to remember!
Proton pack for me.
Gravity Gun. Toss 'em around a bit.

Thor's Hammer, Mjolnir.
Aliens sentry gun

The laser gun from Congo. Cut a hord]e in half in .5 seconds

Just give me VATS from FO3.
this.

Voltron, Zombieslayer of the Universe!

Farsight XR-20 from Perfect Dark
Thermal Scope that can see through walls and the ability to shoot the target through the wall as well? Yes, please.
Nah! Give me a Lancer MkII and a heavy urethane apron and faceshield. (for the mess).
The Hughes Plasma Rifle with the 40 watt range.
energy sword! naw
wonderwaffle always kicks ass
The Sentry guns in Aliens.

I think the Death Star would work for me.
I would like a couple of the old single action six guns used in B westerns. You know, the kind you never have to reload, lol.

+1
The pistol from Judge Dredd wouldn't be too bad a choice. About a dozen different firing options and about a hundred round magazine from a pistol a bit bulkier than a glock.
The noisy cricket:
The AT-AT

Here, Here.... a big +1 for the
noisy MF'n cricket.

I think a squad of these will work just nicely. They are well suited to survive the apocalypse.

The UA571 sentry guns are nice, does cover infrared, ambient light optics, ultrasonic motion tracker and is great for set and forget coverage but, it only has a 500 round drum, range of up to 1000 meters with a cyclic rate of 1100 rpm and is air cooled, with an automatic cut-out preventing the loading of any more rounds into the breech should overheating cause a chance of ammunition 'cook-off' and is not portable.
For some real fun, this is what I would want
The M56A2 is a 10mm general purpose automatic squad support weapon effective to 1,500 meters. The gun also incorporates a muzzle booster to ensure the necessary operating forces from the large round. Cyclic rate is around 1200 rpm. The gun is constructed largely from molded carbon-fiber and light alloy stampings, though some interior parts of the mechanism are plastic. The replaceable barrel system is air cooled, though a heat sink attachment can be jacketed onto it. The system is mounted on an operator's harness and slaved to an infrared tracking system. The gun is self-steering on the mount, though firing can be commanded manually. The entire gun assembly (including harness and full ammo load) masses 40lbs. The length of the gun itself is 48 inc long, and the length of the barrel is 21 inc. Ammunition is stored in a drum mounted on the left side of the gun, it can hold 600 rounds. The pulse-action system employs a free floating recoil dampened motorized rotating breech mechanism chambered for the M250 series 10 mm x 28 230 grain case less round encased in a rectangle block of nitramine. Higher powered than the M309 round for the pulse rifle, the M250 also significantly differs in having a selectable fuse setting. A switch on the hand grip is used to select the ammunition fusing, which is set electronically as the round is loaded into the chamber. The 'Super' setting is optimized against soft targets and will detonate the round on impact, while the 'Delay' setting explodes the shell only after penetrating the target armor.
The pulse rifle from Aliens.Caseless and 10mm, gotta love it.
My 2nd choice is from the Preacher comics. The character Saint O' Killers is given two Colt Walker revolvers, forged in Hell that can never miss or run out of ammo. All I would need then is a never-empty bottle of Mt. Dew to rule the wasteland.

I'm sorry , there really is nothing comparable.
Pretty much anything from here.

Wrong. Lose. No-win here.
The illustration you used shows that MACHINES, too, may be zombies. They have all the requisite qualities:
1. They wish to destroy the living.
2. They have an implacable drive to continue doing so, even after they have been severly damaged.
3. They have the capability of making other machines "change over," to do their bidding... much in the way that a zombie bite would do this to a human.
Mandalorian armor with lightsaber and predator shoulder thing that goes up

The sword of the angel of death, reforged into Colt Walker pistols. Guns don't get any more epic than that.
