Quandary....
How do you know if you have made the right decision or not?
Like I had said prior, I am new to this, and it took me a while to be raised.
Part of the reason it took so long is because I was working overseas, always gone, and the other part is that I was just plain scared (yes I said it...scared ). I wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into and all that.
Now that I'm here, some things are different.
I guess what I would like to know, has anyone else gone through this when they first started?
I think most men go through questions, doubts, or confusion to some degree or another. During the first degree, I was wondering what those lunatics would do next! I'm an officer now!
Voice in my head during my EA .. "WhaT iN THe F**K aRe YoU gEtTinG yOur SElf IntO!!!!
Now I'm a member of three lodges, two in the US and I'm on two degree teams (among alot of other stuff)
You must have Faith.......

I am an EA and was a bundle of nerves for the first part of the degree, but settled down and was breathing through my nose by the time I finished. Other than that I am having a blast. Working on my proficiency and look forward to retruning it and my next degree. I have a good time in Lodge and also talking with Brothers one on one or in small groups. I am looking forward to continuing my journey.
OP, have you participated in other degrees since you received your own?
I have served as JW and SD in several EA degrees since I was raised, even before my MM, and it is not only a blast to be in some of the roles, it gives you a much better insight into what they are all about.
follow your conductor and fear no danger..
im me if you want to talk about anything.
I think it helps if you have family and people who count the same as family in lodge. I knew no one was going to mess with me unless they had Dad knocked out or something. It is a part that calms the nerves.
Voice in my head during the writing ceremony, which I failed: "I just told these people they could XXXX my XXXX for this."
