 Favorite every day drinking wine?

My favorite every day drinking wine would be the wine that I recently made with my family (blend of Chianti, Merlot, and Sangiovese). For every day consumption I generally drink either a Fetzer Cab or Merlot, Rodney Strong Cab or Merlot, Conchay Toro Carmenere, 337 Cab..

So what do you guys normally drink during the course of the week for every day consumption?

Also what are some of your homemade blends?

My everyday wine (store bought) is either usually a Robert Mondavi Private Selection Cab or Merlot.

I like most Pinot Grigios as an everyday (drink a bottle of it) wine.

I'll have to give that one a try...

Does anyone make homemade wine in here? If so what blends work well for you guys?

I do. Thus far it's only been fruit or kit wine. I have a small vineyard but am not expecting my first significant harvest for another year or so.

I make wine.
I do the kit wines, I've been using Mosti Mondiale brand.
I make the All Juice Master Edition or the Meglioli, I prefer those because they are 23L juice kits.

Yeah, that corker seems to work well enough for the price - at least for the volume of corking I do...

I've been using the aglomerate #9 x 1.75 corks.

My buddy and I went out to dinner last night and he ordered a bottle of wine called Villa Antinori (Super Tuscan).. It’s a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah. I now will order this every time I go out to dinner if they have it. It was an amazing bottle of wine; I’d recommend you all give it a try. I have no idea how much it would cost at the liquor store but at the restaurant it cost us $42.00 a bottle.

Here is the site.

for special occasions I really like the Ferrari Carano Merlot, 2009. 25.00 a bottle or so.

For a cheap, evening drinker in the summer I like Tisdale Chardonay. Year doesn't sem to matter. Not as full of oak as some more expensive bottles, but at 3 for 10.00 who can complain.

My absolute favorite is a red table wine from Portugal. Jose Maria Da Fonseca Periquita Reserva. Seems to me to be drastically underpriced at 10.00 Euros a bottle. Unfortunetly, I've only found it overseas.

One of my go to brands for Riesling and Pinot Grigio is "Flip Flop". Not necessarily because it's great, but at $6 a bottle, it's a good value. Imagine my surprise/disgust when I was on vacation last week and a restaurant was selling Flip Flop Pinot for $8.00 a glass..

And yeah.. I bought a glass what the hell, it was vacation.

I also like Crane Lake wines. It's hard not to like something when you can walk out with 3 bottles and change after laying down a $20 :)

It's amazing on how many great bottles of wine your able to find from $5.00-$20.00.. I see no need to spend more then $20.00 on a bottle of wine unless it's something really amazing..
