Romney needs to lose, and I don't want him to be supplanted by Gingrich. Santorum's really all that's left that can at least make this a brokered convention if not block Romney outright, so I'm hoping he wins enough delegates tonight to keep on those tracks.

No he doesn't need to take it, these contests are proportional. You can take second and essentially walk away with one less delegate than the winner if the race is close enough.

I thought his campaign was over when he voiced his total-support for Obama's big-government bailout of Detroit when he was going on to lose Michigan.

In some ways. For example, he'll motivate otherwise apathetic voters to get off their asses and vote....against him. He'd do wonders for voter turnout.
