Marceaux Tells Judge She Is "Going Down"; He Goes To Jail
Perennial candidate Basil Marceaux Sr. won't be able to campaign for the House District 27 seat for several days - except to fellow jail inmates.
Criminal Court Judge Rebecca Stern on Monday morning sentenced him to serve 10 days in jail for contempt of court.
She did so after the Soddy Daisy resident first told her, "You're out of order."
Then, as he was leaving the podium, he said, "I run for everything. And when I get elected, you're going down."
The judge then told bailiffs to take him into custody.
What if he wins?

That guy obviously doesn't run for shit.
He'd do a better job than 95% of gov. Pols.

Oh yes. Yes he does. I don't know how, but he will actually be on the ballot for multiple offices on the same ballot.
true constitutional scholar right there
I don't say this too often, but what's his screen name?
Kind of a lame contempt hit actually. Also this is kind of goofy: Judge Stern asked attorneys in the courtroom to raise their hand if they believe that she is also a Circuit Court judge, and they did.

He lives in the same town I do. I run into him all the time. Next time I do, I'll get a pic with him and post it on here!

Oh yeah. Basil kinda reminds me of Ron Paul; a very strict Constitutionalist, has some good ideas, but bat shit crazy.

Gotcha!
that guy is nuts.
That said, I really wish he wasnt such a gomer. Cause a scene like this would fucking win if it happened IRL.

I wish I disagreed with this sentiment.
I'd turn a key in a MMIII silo if he promised to wear his CCW badge around.

edited...i guess it takes a lot of guts to post something like that up, knowing you'll draw ridicule toward yourself and your family.
i am glad he's got a wife that appears to love him. it seems like his goals are a
little lot lofty, but he seems like a funny guy; and conservative too.
maybe he had a stroke or something?
Sounds like the meeting of two fools.
So it's a crime to try and get a little judicial head these days? I weep for this once-great nation.
This guy seems "very familiar!"
He looks pretty smart.
