That's what I used until I discovered three well kept secrets which I can now reveal: 1. Pistols can be carried in something called a holster, which fits on a belt. 2. It's possible to buy pants which have pockets. 3. It's possible to put a magazine in a pocket.
Once these secrets were revealed to me, I cut up the chest rig and used the burlap as camouflage, securing it with the duct tape.

I tend to rock it old school, it's a visual deterrent. Plus which would be scary a fat couch commando wearing a P.I.G. plate carrier stuffed with sodas and snickers coming at you. Or a fat couch commando in this....(Granted the endurance of said couch commando isn't great because he forgot to follow rule #1)

i dont know what the best is. buti just bought another one of these off e bay last night for $30.00 bucks. they carry about 16 mags, plus have 2 canteen pouches, and inside map pockets. i love these things.
