Is this ok even though I have never been in the military?

There's a lot of irony here.

Why subdued? Why not r, w, & b?

I'm not against it, I just don't get it.

As long as your cars are painted in camo - then sure.

I never put any stickers on any of my cars. A standard flag would be too bright. I think the subdued would be subtle but there

What happens if it's not ok? Someone you don't know who is masking their identity a thousand miles away on an internet forum says something mean to you?

Stick it on there and stop worrying so much.

Only if it's velcroed on. Your cars should be covered in ample velcro and molle webbing.

I think his concern is about it being subdued, inferring military service.

oh, well yeah, i would expect people to assume military.

but why would he need subdued on his car? its more for a tactical application. i dont see the need for subdued. i know he said it was bright, but thats the whole point.

fly that sumbitch, and FLY IT LOUD AND PROUD!!

I would assume that if I saw it, but it wouldn't bother me to find out he wasn't.

Unless he was also wearing a military uniform. Then we'd have a problem.

but why would he need subdued on his car?

I was also wondering that. Why not a RWB flag?

If you're that ashamed, don't bother. The American flag is not a fashion statement. The colors are subdued out of necessity.

Correct.

Not ashamed of the flag. Just want to show respect and have it look good on the car at the same time.

I've got 2 hats with so-called subdued American Flags that Bravo Company USA sent me with uppers. It never occurred to me that some moron might think I was claiming military service by wearing it. Are there such people out there?

Oh yeah, they're out there.

My friend and I were at a concert two years ago. My buddy Mike went to the pisser and I went to get beers. Mike was wearing one of those grey Army pt t-shirts. Mike's older brother is an Army officer and gave it to Mike before he went to Iraq. While Mike is taking a leak some drunk ass comes up to him asking him what his MOS is and what unit he is with. Mike, at first, had no idea what douchebag was asking him. Once it hit Mike what the guy was asking Mike simply said "I'm not in the Army'. The douchebag then started telling him he needed to take it off and he shouldn't be wearing it. Mike tried to ignore this guy but the dude followed him out. Finally Mike said "my brother is an Army officer. He gave it to me before he went to Iraq and I wear it to support him. He didnt have an issue giving it to me to wear". Doucheboy blocked the door way out of the restroom. Mike wound up shoving the guy out of his way which resulted in the drunken douche falling down.

When I met back up with Mike I could tell he was steamed. He told me what happened and then asked me if I was offended or had a problem with him wearing the shirt since he never served? I told him no and neither should anyone else. Its a frickin PT shirt and your brother gave it to you.

Sorry for the highjack, but yeah those kind are out there.

Sounds fine to me, Subdued isnt only a military thing and you are doing it for the same reason they do. To have it displayed but not to have it screaming.

I may do the same if I can find an empty spot
