I had a shooting magazine awhile ago that had a list of a bunch of shooting glasses you could wear that looked cool and had reviews and such. But I fucking lost that magazine. It probably got thrown away.

So now I must turn to you ARFCOM. I am looking for cool looking sunglasses that have ballistic protection and don't cost an arm and a leg.

I know Oakley makes awesome sunglasses and I would buy that, but that's WAAAAY out of my price range. I am looking for something no more than 35-40 bucks.

I don't know if I would say they look cool, but I like ESS for shooting glasses.

I found a like new pr of Serengeti aviators/drivers at a yard sale last week for $2.00. They are right nice and serve to brighten things up a bit but at the same time reduce glare. I had them down on my range and they served well as shooting glasses too. They go used on EBay for about your price range.

Revisions. Site sponsor and they do a 30% off sale all the time. Get the ballistic lenses and you are good to go. Under $100

First post gets it. ESS Ice are my choice. You can get them with clear, smoke, and amber lenses.

I use these as safety glasses at work, and sunglasses. Very comfortable, and priced right.

I just got a new pair of Polarized Black Iridium Oakley Bottle Caps for $78.00. Stumbled on a internet sale. I had a set 2 years ago and I lost them, there somewhere in the house or garage. Was using a set of Native until I bought these.

Don't see any with polarized lenses. After wearing polarized Oakleys forever, I can't stand non-polarized, the glare is just too much.

Source for polarized under $100 that are ballistic rated?

I buy the 2.99 tinted safety glasses. CDNN often has this sort of thing on sale.
I lose/break way too many sunglasses to spend much on them.

Most of the el cheapo glasses don't block all of the UV rays and the optical clarity is horrible. Distortion in the lens is also prevalent. The level of protection offered by Oakley and other brands make them worth the cost. I was really sold on my Oakleys when I took a ricochet of a .45 round to the lens. The bullet dented the lens and knocked the shades off my face, but there was no other damage or injury.
