My question is, does he get to plow a herd of those bitches at the same time or is it strictly one at a time?

None of them are tens but you have to admit when you bang 3-4's at the same time, it's still pretty awesome.

So, just 4 needy nagging bitches instead of one with none of the multi-hole benefits?

Fuck that.

You should ask your wife, she's watching the show. I am sure something interesting would come of it.

Then get back to us.... with pics.

he says he's in "sales" but I'm not sure of what. I only watched one episode with my wife before I turned away. Three neurotic 2-on-scale-of-1-to-10 wives was not my idea of fun.

Wouldn't you think that one wife would drive you nuts why would you want four?

This polygamy thing looks a lot like hell to me. If they are happy go for it, but not me. Not only that how can one man, work, have time to himself, and still have quality time with 4 wives and 75 kids.

My guess is the other three are on welfare, foodstamps, WIC, etc..

My wife watches it too. I can't watch it with her anymore do to my inability to keep my comments to myself.

You get them seperate living quarters so their periods don't synchronize.

Exactly.

Unless its raunchy sex with 4 chicks + me and everyone is tubes tied with no kids and zero commitments, what is the point? Sounds like a nag-fest of epic proportions.
NO WAY!

They are around here all the time. Colorado City / Hilldale is the big Polygamist city in southern Utah. From what I understand, they live in separate quarters and he spends a specific amount of time with each one. The man is legally married to one wife and has a church ceremony for the others. Welfare, food stamps, and whatever other benefits they can rangle are the source of income that produces the new big 4X4 Suburbans, F350 pick ups, and other expensive vehicles they drive into town. They seem to be saving on clothing though. Most are big and ugly as mud ducks. I have seen a few good looking ones. The kids all look like they came from the same cookie cutter. They aren't very talkative or engaging while in the checkout line at Costco.

They specifically, or they in general?

Just a lot of Polygamists in town, especially when they get their government money. "They" as in all of the Polygamists you run into down here.

Yup. Good summary on them, too. Remove the welfare and a lot of those polygamist communities would fall apart quickly.

I really thought there was some truth to that. Turns out not so much.

Do Women Who Live Together Menstruate Together? Scientific American article.

From the article:

"And McClintock's former colleague, psychologist and mathematical modeler Jeffrey Schank at the University of California, Davis, found in a highly controlled rodent pheromone study that their model of two pheromones—one that pulls ovulation forward and one that delays it—driving synchrony didn't work. "That was very disappointing to me," he says. "I really wanted those models to work out."

The insurmountable hurdle in all the studies, he says, is that women often have persistent cycles of different lengths. As such, they can never truly synchronize, just randomly phase in and out of synchrony over the months as their cycles diverge and converge.

Last year, he co-authored a study in Human Nature following 186 female Chinese students living in dorms for an entire year, the longest menstrual synchrony study yet. He saw no evidence for the phenomenon, but plenty of random overlaps that could be seen as synchrony if viewed through a shorter time window.

McClintock, however, remains resolute. Focusing on narrow definitions of precise synchrony misses the greater point, she says: whether the social environment of women can affect the timing of ovulation, not menstruation per se, no matter in which direction or what pattern. "I don't think there is any doubt that social interaction among women and body compounds from women can change the way the ovary functions," she says."

I would think the part in red would be pretty scary if you were married to four women. The perfect storm.

Yah, a lot of people seem to remember that study (that was wrong). But any woman who has lived with other women could tell you, it's not true.

You left off "with the self esteem of a wet paper sack"

We watched a couple episodes of the show just for the trainwreck. They try to act all happy but the desperation, the longing for attention, the sulking, and the competitivness arent masked by the thin veil they try to wrap it all in.
Its no skin off my nose how people live, I just find it interesting that theyll go so far to convince everyone that they are happy.

The one scientist did a study and it got picked up by the news back then (1970's), saying that synchronization happened. It's like an internet email rumor, never seems to go away.

If they are in the Mormon mold then it is not a desire to have separate housing . . . it is a requirement. The rules involved in living in a polygamous relationship are not terribly complicated, but they are quite specific.

And, yes, no wife will share the bed with her husband and another wife (or anyone else). No sisters, either, or mother-daughter.

Four daughters and a wife here, and while one can certainly decide to look at this issue through some scientific lens if you want, the simpler method is the experienced peace of passing through pre-hell week, hell week and post-hell week, unscathed leaving one sane happy uneventful week every month. Yes they do synchronize and its a good thing too.

Nope. There may be overlap, but women do NOT synchronize.

OK, have it your way - I'll just say they certainly do have a tendency, thank God, to overlap in a way that synchronizes my expectation and experience of one sane happy uneventful week every month.
