the Umatilla, Columbia, and John Day rivers are hot right now. The Umatilla for Coho salmon, the Columbia for Coho and steelhead, and the John Day for Steelhead.
This is one of the fish I caught on 30 Oct 09 on the Umatilla river at a place we locals call "Chinaman's Hole" due to the fact that in the 1920s there was a community of Chinese that lived here.
