I'm feeling a bit better now that I see others are still pending. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Still pending. Was such a good deal I ordered 2 pairs.
Mine are pending as well. I hope they come soon.
Still pending....
I missed this one.
Made in China?
The only good deal I jumped on this month was the Jackass holster.

I think these were Factory Seconds - Made right here in Oregon. But I could be wrong..

From what I understand they are made in the USA and on closeout because the mil isn't buying them anymore, not because they were factory seconds.
Got mine yesterday, and they are made in USA. Quality is pretty good, but I have to wear them around before I can tell if I like them. I have a pair of Expedition GTX that I bought half off during the x-mas 2010 rush, and those I like.
Mine came on Wednesday and I'm wearing them right now. As of yesterday, my order still was "pending" too. I believe these are 1st quality contract overruns. One more pair of Danners to rotate into my ever growing Danner collection. I should have bought 2 or 3 pair for the price, but I don't really "need" them. I told one of my friends last night that I'm almost ready for the bootpocalypse!
Still waiting on a pair I ordered last week.
Hope they fit well. I could use a new pair of decent backwoods boots. I've been wearing my black work danner afeild lately.

this is my understanding too. you can also tell they were a military contract item by the full spectrum of sizing available. you don't often see that in a commercial run boot. Companies don't care to make/stock the low profit margin odd balls in the spectrum where the mil must stock them.
These are made in the USA according to the site description and they would have to be to be gov't compliant (Berry?? IIRC).
I emailed them Wednesday about my order. The reply stated that my order will ship later this week.
As of today my order is still pending...

Thanks for the clarification.
Still a good price on a pair of US-made Danner boots...
my order says completed, I don't have them yet.

Probably overruns because they are no longer DoD issue. They have been replaced in OEF issue with the
Belleville 950/990.

Glad to here some of you have started getting your boots. I received mine today. They look like they will be good for on trails with light loads or maybe snowshoeing, but they wont be replacing my aslo backpack boots for most of my most of my recreational needs. I was really hoping they would have a stiffer shank, but I can't complain for the price.
Just got mine. They are great! Can't believe I paid $50 a pair.

Hit the Breakroom
You have to register for the site.
They are a great deal if the fit ya. I sent mine back today the collar just hit me wrong.
Mine are due in today.
Whoo hoo they came in:
I ordered 2 pairs, 10 & a 10.5. Turns out the 10's fit me better.
The 10.5's will be going back.

Got mine today! My wife wanted to know why I didn't get a pair in her size.

Check! They still might!
Every time I go to the site, it says check back later for more deals. Is the offer still available, or am I doing something wrong?
Mine came in today. Two pairs 14.5 XW. They fit great and I am happy!
I got my 10.5 and they are great except they really wide but the size is right.
If anyone has an extra pair of size 11, let me know
Fucking lucky bastards!
I was interested in those boots, but they are pricey.. $50 is a killer deal, what luck, hell a pair of Chuck Taylors made by Chicom slaves are damn there $50

If nothing else, next time they have a sale, you'll be in the loop.
I got in this time. I hope they fit right.

In case it hasn't been said yet. I got these when they were brand new for $310, I didn't have to pay for them, but there is a good reason they are $50 now. In about 3 months of daily use they wore on the edges where the leather meets the rubber and then water gets in. They are comfy and worth about $50 in my opion so still a good deal, but they won't cure cancer or anything. DannerTrax
Just ordered for the entire family

Wore my pair last week on short hike. They worked great comfy, and stuck to rocks and dirt for a short climb down to one of MO's natural springs.
Nice thing about the Combat Hikers is they are made in the US and can be resoled.

I got them because they were made in the US, but US quality can overcome the design flaws. Danner resole cost $75 so you you should just buy another pair of boots at that point. I'm not trying to bash the shoes, I liked them while they lasted. DannerTrax

I'd agree with all the above. I never wore mine overseas, but just about the guys who did had theirs split where the leather upper is sewn to the synthetic part. Hard to beat for $50 though.
Well these certainly cannot be worse then the $40 low cut hiking shoes I have now, so I ordered some, they should be here late this week or early next and I can't wait to give them a whirl.
