I can't find the post on how to convert a SCEPTER water jug into a gas can. Aside from "fillin it up with gas" I am referring to making it airtight. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks!

The designs are completly different. The water can does not have an orings like the fuel cans do. Could you fill one with fuel? Probably. Would it seal tight? Maybe.
Is it a good idea? With sceptre cans selling used on eBay for $30-$40 maybe not.

did you check the fuel can oracle?

I've read a little bit through the Oracle... Very boring and way too technical for me. I was hoping someone would know of a quick conversion. Otherwise I'll have to engineer my own conversion. Last time I checked ebay, SCEPTER fuel cans were $120!

If you really want to do this:

Note:
I prefer Scepter fuel cans over NATO fuel cans..... Personal preference.... they are both good cans.

but I prefer NATO fuel cans over using Scepter water cans for fuel.

That's just me.... YMMV

From what I recall its like going through vast semi-technical information looking for one specific thing. It is well written though. Links always help!

Cheaper than some.
80.00 + 18.94 shipping = 49.47ea. + will probably need tor eplace the rubber gaskets with viton for gasoline.

They are rough, thats certian, but they are certanly serviceable. True, I didn't account for shipping, but Ive seen them sell for $60 used on ebay recently before I bought some locally. I paid $20 a peice for mine.
