Any one hunt with a Browning BAR 300 win mag ?
i want to buy a dedicated Elk rifle and found a good deal on a lightweight stalker Bar 300 win mag.
it does not have the boss on it.
i have been hunting with a Bar 30.06
I know the lighter weight means more felt recoil
but i also know that the gas system on the Bar reduces that some .
i was wondering how much that recoil effects follow up shots
and if any one has compared it side by side with a Bar 30.06 how much noticeable difference between the
two
and if anyone went from any 30.06 to 300 mag if they had any regrets
my 30.06 has served me well but i am now hunting a different area where there will be longer shots
