My first Elk!

I finally got my first one (after about 6 years) and the first time I've tried bow hunting them as well! One of the best experiences hunting I've ever had as it was with my father who got me into hunting from a very young age(he got his first too) and was after dealing with 6 months of chemotherapy (awesome to be outside in the beautiful Colorado mountains). After killing many deer over the years, I can not believe how much more work it is to process an elk! Damn these things are massive. Here's a pic, not the biggest bull we saw by any stretch but I'm ecstatic
