Well done. Interesting character development. You might have spent just a little more time developing the woman's character. Something to give us hope that she really will improve her life would have added some flavor.

It was a Short story for class. I have thought about continuing the story if there is enough interest. There is additional story cooking in my head, but the assignment was for a short story that could stand alone, so i had constraints based on the assignment.
If there is enough interest i would definitely be willing to continue the story.
