I bought a Buddipole back in December. I have been using it for mostly 15-20 meter and 2 meter. The directions don't show you this, but you can use it for a 2 meter j-pole.
This is very handy and can even be set up inside, on a very low power of course.

One heck of a spendy J-pole.

That's amazing... and surprisingly simple.

If you talking about indoors I'd say no more than 5 watts.

I was thinking more outside but elevated running the mast up in a stationary positioon for camping while using my FT-2900R that goes up to 75 watts.
It looked like a elevated j-pole would get me better range than a mobile mounted antenna when stationary.
Maybe I am looking to justify with one more reason to get a Buddypole.

250 watts. more than you would need for a j pole. id rather set it up as a 2m dipole or yagi.
I've never made any antenna power calculations, but I would guess the two limiting factors of the power output be the RG-59 coax that comes with the buddipole and RF exposure limits since my buddipole only came with 25' coax.
