Looking for some reviews on deer attractants
Just started deer hunting in NY , to be specific in Steuben county area . I was at the store today looking at attractant sents
I moved up from western TN where hunting was a little different with huge fields of row crops etc etc. I have used the wicks with Tinks #69 in the past so i grabed up 2 bottles of that and i bought a can of the Buck Bomb spray just to try it out.
So whats your thought, did the store clip me for 7 bucks for the buck bomb or will it help to bring deer in? whats some of the other stuff you guys have used with good results.
thanks
I bought a buck bomb the other day and it didn't work. And when I say "it didn't work" I mean exactly that - the liquid stayed in the can and didn't spray out, it sort of bubbled for a few seconds and that was it. I wound up puncturing the can and dumping out the contents.
"CORNFUSED" has been doing wonders for me this bow season

ive had several bucks come to code blue doe estrus scent. like they were "on a string," never had any luck with tinks though.
I've had decent luck with Special Golden Estrus.
I've never had any luck with estrus, "curiosity" scents or any of that stuff.
I hunt suburban deer and IMHO they're used to everybody and their grandmother using scents come gun season. I actually think they're put off by them in suburban settings.
Learn travel routes, and hunt does. That's what works for me in suburbia.
As always, YMMV.
I've had good luck over the past few years with Smoking sticks they are oil based and the scent drifts and lingers I burn the doe in heat and all season together and have killed several nice bucks and many does walking right to them the smoke is slightly visible but they dont seem to care.
CODE BLUE, hands down the best producti have used. Like others have said, during the rut they come to you like on a yoyo string if they get a whiff.

and hold your nose when the winds change... GOOD GOD!
Anyone know of anything made to specifically attract does? Most everything I see is made to bring in bucks.

Friend of mine puree's apples, peanut butter and a couple drops of vanilla and swears it works for bringing in does and fawns.
Don't know if it works, never tried it.
As said, find out where the does feed and their routes. Bucks look for does during rut.

After rubbing a few drops of vanilla extract on my boots and going to the tree stand I've had does follow the scent to me.
