10 year old daughter's third deer season
Angel made another great shot on opening day of her 3rd deer season. She has been shooting her AR with Barnes bullets for 3 years now and has killed 5 deer as of this pic. Another heart shot and a 20 yard recovery. The AR is a fine platform for kids deer hunting under the right conditions; conditions that I have created for her and she has done a great job doing her part in. She smoked a couple of woodducks this last weekend with the 20 ga 1187 she just moved up to as well but that is another story.

Wow! 10 years old. She looks damn proud and should be, and I bet papa is to

. Nice shooting!
I'd shoot a deer that got in the back of my truck to get my bag of corn too.
I'm hoping my 11 year old daughter will get a chance to take one with the AR this weekend. Are you selecting shots within a particular distance or just whatever she is comfortable with?
She rocks! You must be proud as all getout!
Awesome. These threads always give me hope i'll be able to get my girls out in the woods when they get older.
Excellent!!!
Good job,Dad!!!! she's a cutie too!! I take it she gets her looks from Mom???????

Enjoy her while you can. If shes anything like my grand daughter, in a couple of years it will be all boys, shopping, work,Etc Etc.
Congrats, Dad. She looks happy. I'm sure you're proud.
Very cool.
Deer in Texas aren't very smart, walking up to a truck to get some corn with a sharpshooter waiting
Very nice and congradulations to the young lady and dad

She practices at up to about 75 yards and shoots at no more than about 60 yards. Every spot she hunts in is surrounded by woods. I went in to solid woods with multiple intersecting deer trails and wore myself and the Stihls out cutting openings that are 60-75 yards long and 30 - 40 yards wide. That is a LOT of cutting and dragging brothers. We hunt from 2 man ladder stands and she has a solid rest to shoot off of. WHen she was too small to reach the built in rail I made her shooting rails using foam covered pvc pipes on zip ties I cinched up just enough to control the height. Hope that makes sense.
She was very proud this year to be using the stand's built in shooting rails and actually had to move to "position 2" on the collapsable stock.

No, not spoiled at all. Well, since this is her Walther she's shooting she just might be a little spoiled.
She is my second oldest with 2 more coming up behind her. It is understood they all share and pass on the guns they outgrow. However, they all have their own AR.
If your ever in Western NC let me know, its always a privilege to buy a beer for a great dad and sportsman.
That is awesome congratulations to you and your daughter. My oldest daughter is 9 and is going to take the hunter safety course this year and practice all spring and summer so she is ready for next fall.

That's awesome! Congratulations to her. I was 27 years old before I ever started deer hunting.

Well done man. Well done.
