 Ops inc collar profile question

Hey, got yet another question for you guys .....

One of the uppers I want to get an ops inc collar and mount on is a Daniel Defense upper, that has the M4 profile barrel and as far as I can tell matches the requirements for the 16th model collar. I'm planning to send it to ADCO to have the threads checked anyways, and was wanting y'all to install the brake and collar. Would there be any extra charge to check and make sure everything in regards to the measurements of the profile or for installing the collar if there is no additional work needed?
Also I had a WOA barrel that is supposed to have the 12th model profile, I still haven't made up my mind whether I'm going to have it re profiled for a 16th model (would that be possible if it has the 12th model profile?) or just go with the 12th model.

To sum it up if I'm just getting you guys to check the threads, check the profile and install an ops brake and collar, do I just need to purchase, assembly/dis-assembly and check threading or something else?

I wouldn't waste the time or money to send in the DD barrel. The DD barrel is good to go, and installing the collar for the 16th is a piece of cake for anyone who can add a drop of loctite and turn an allen key.

The SPR barrel will need a different collar to install the 16th. They exist, but I dont know if I have any in stock.

Thats great about the DD. I am a little concerned about the WOA barrel, it seems like the SPR profile (the notch where the collar sits) is 1/16 inch closer to the barrel than it should be according to the pics you had posted of the measurements for 16th and 12th collars. When I stick the 12th to 16th adapter on this it is an inch and a half (inch and 7/16 really) from the end of the bevel on the adapter to the beginning of the threads where as the 16th is supposed to be an inch and 3/4?. Does that sound right or is there something messed up?

Thanks again,

That 5/16" is no issue. There is quite a bit of tolerance for OPS mounting. The only real "requirement" is that the Can has 4 full threads of engagement, minimum. So, no worries.

Great, I've never messed around with the ops cans and (as you can probably tell) don't know much about them. Once again I really appreciate yall's help

That would be 4 complete rotations of the can? May sound like a dumb question but when talking $1000 item...might as well double check.

Yes, that is correct.
