How tight do I snug up my evolution rail?

Just got back from the range and it seems my rail is starting to shift forward, about 1/8 inch for 40 rounds fired.

It's installed in a 14.5" lightweight mid length, if that has any impact on the answer.

Thanks for any info.

did you place a little blue locktite or similar product on it. the first time I test fired mine it did this, hit it with blue locktite and it stays in place now.

Yes, I did use the loctite.

I'm just hesitant to tighten it too much, it wouldn't be the first time I've stripped something out because of a heavy hand.

The screws on the rail can be tightened down pretty far. The key is to tighten both screws a little bit at a time...back and forth...as to not strip the threads. The "ears" on both sides of the rail should almost be touching when you are done tightening them down.

Mine did the exact same thing, although I have the Samson rails, currently waiting on the Rainier 11" Evo's. I just snugged them down very tight and the issue went away.

Is there an actual torque spec for these? I have become a stickler for torque specs.

We can ask. On most of our installs the "ears" almost end up touching after the screws have been tightened down.
