I want to know if the Surefire G2Z(
here) will accept the TX-4 conversion head, using the M2C adapter.
Also, what mount would i need to mount it to an AR (offset preferably).
Thanks
J
According to their website, it should fit with the M2C adapter. I'm not thoroughly familiar with the G2Z, but I have several regular G2's with some different LED models from Malkoff and TNVC and I'd imagine they are probably the same size bezels and have the same threads.
As far as the mount goes, you can use pretty much anything that will hold the G2, it just depends what you want. I personally have the mount that goes on your front sight tower and Vltor rings and that works good for me, but YMMV.
P.S. The TX-4 is awesome
Yeah the thing is i don't have much experience with lights mounts, and the G2Z appears to have some sort of ring/spacer/hand-stop just behind the bezel(
here). Looks like it's non-removable and i'm not sure if that makes the light difficult/impossible to secure to the mount.
I will be buying the light used later today, that's why i don't have a more defined question to ask. Still in for TNVC's opinion.
Thanks
J
Yeah, sorry...I was having a brain fart about the G2Z, but you might still be able to use a regular ring clamped down behind the second hand stop, closer to the tailcap. Either way, good luck...you'll probably love the light if you can get it nice and secure.
