I have on order the predatOBR. I chose UDE, because I think its really neat. Who does Larue use to make the stock, grip etc different colors. I'm asking because I want to take a Trijicon srs2 and make it the same UDE color. Not ever sure if you can change the srs2 color but going forward I can order something and send it to them to have the color changed. Maybe I do have to go through LT?

The UDE Magpul items were contracted between LT and MP. The non-MP items were done in-house by LT. The new stock and grips are going to be in-house jobs by LT as well.

Now, if you are wanting to cerakote your rifle, there it's another thread here about a guy using different shades to do it (trying to, at least...)

Thank you for your reply. So your implying that LT does it, and just send it to them, correct? I wasn't trying to bypass them, rather get the same colored parts. And understand how to get it done. I just don't want different shades making it appear that it was slapped together.

They do their own parts in the colors they offer. I doubt they would accept a customers part for color matching...

^^^THIS is what I meant... I have never heard of people shipping their parts in to LT to get them UDE'd... I admit, it would be a neat service for them to offer, but I don't see it coming online anytime soon...

The answer for you is going to be to buy UDE parts from LT, or paint them to match as closely as you can. I referred to the other thread, where the gentleman was asking if anyone knew which Cerakote / Durakote colors would most closely match UDE, and that he had already tried two, but to me they looked like they came out a little lighter...

Why would anyone want to perfectly match colors? It defeats the purpose pf camouflaging a Rifle. You're better off having slight to large differences in the colors.
