Awesome facility!!
Just thought I would post that here, instead of disqualifying myself in the contest thread. Thanks again for such an awesome opportunity!

I think we're gonna have to make a few exceptions/exemptions this month .. I was a wee bit too sneaky.
For the record, it wasn't cleaned for the pic - we keep it that clean.

Agreed been dying to see the insides of your shop.
No shooting on the weekends?

Just bein' neighborly.
I think you could spend a few more dollars on a better camera, some of those pictures have alot of pixelation!!! Otherwise...just what I expected to see!!!

Very cool. I would love to work with you guys some day - if not just for my own entertainment!
Whats up with the troll that made the crack about Noveske Being cheaper and better.... WTF, why would you even go in someones post, and say that sh!t.... Especially, on where the owner is giving out a Bassazz prize... I just don't get people....

I don't get it either.
Mark, You can certainly look back at where you started...and be proud of yourself, and all those who have helped you get where you are today!!!

Some people serve no purpose outside of making others scratched their heads...

that shop, my friend, is awesome. if i ever move to texas id love to work there.
I'd like to see what that place looks like when it's all staffed up and running, it's a very impressive operation.

I've been in a lot of machine shops in my years doing inspections and I can say that your's is hands down the cleanest by far with a huge difference to the second place finisher.
The only place I've seen cleaner was Motorola's Skunk Works in IL when my dad was a manager there. Then again they did a little more dust sensitive things there.
Nice place you guys got there Mark! That's the second cleanest machine shop I've ever seen.
Over and over, I'm saying out loud, "Hole LEE Shit!" while I look at those photos
Very nice shop. I have run alot of those machines other than the Big enclosed mills. I used to run mitsubishi Wedm and I have done decent amount of other shop things. Nice hardinge collet Lathe!
Why no pics of the tool crib? I bet it looks like Sandvik/Kaiser/etc paradise.
That was impressive.
Noveske makes a great product as well, although I wouldn't say its cheaper. If anything, they are over priced. I'll just stick to my LaRue. Carry on lads.
very cool, very impressive

I agree, just don't see the reason to come into an industry area and stir the pot, just seems dickish...
There are a few industry partners on here that I don't like their Product or Service, I don't go in their areas and stir it, I just go in the areas for the ones I like or am looking for more info on...
I must be missing something (as usual), but is there a link I should have seen to the virtual tour?

The post was in bad taste, but that comment was made in GD, not in the Industry are. I'm sure most of us know what a cesspool GD is, almost anything goes there. We all know Mark is a polarizing character and emotions run high on both sides.
Now let him come into LT Land and we can kick his ass.

HERE
The R.A.T. colors look good !!
It (the LaRue Skunkworks) don't look anything like I had envisioned... In a word, "unreal".

very nice looking shop
You guys wouldn't happen to need a energetic professional who is graduating from business school next week would ya

I must say that the picture in that thread makes the R.A.T much more appealing. Not sure why but hte original photos make it look kind of ugly,

Very nice facility Mark!

Your facility is cleaner than the "clean rooms" at the place where I work. Good to know that my StealthUpper was made in a place where details such as a clean work area are not overlooked.
You saw a stock? I puckered my ass and waited for an ass chewing for putting stuff on the plate.
I'm sure the Haas salesman has a woody!

Yep- should you need a quality gundrill or hone PM me. My employer and I would have quite the woody to supply you with one.
ETA- if your gonna be at IMTS this year let us know, we have display. I'll be there on Tuesday checking everything out.
Mucho awesome! I worked part time in a small machine shop prototyping camera parts, wich I thought was cool. If I was to make a pilgrimage to Larue I would probably have to excuse my self often to go rub one out.

That's one heck of a collection of machinery Mark. I'd get dizzy watching you electric meter go round & round!

Thank you for an inside look of your shop. You know their product is the best by the attention to detail at keeping their shop clean.

I sprang from the loins of a clean-freak grease monkey - who also did likewise.

Your calibration table, how much do you guess that chunk or granite weighs?
Very Clean and Very Impressive.

Nonsense...I saw the blurred out stuff.

Granite weighs about 172#/ft^3, table looks to be 32*48*4...
~600#?

Really really nice facility Mark! Im blown away, thanks for sharing! Glad to see that this is where all my monies are going.
Great shop with great folks like Mark & Mark, Juli, Amy and Sheldon!
Keep up the great work, customer for life!
Think they would notice if one of those VF2's "fell" out the back door and mysteriously ended up on a trailer behind my truck?

With such a big crowd what are the chances of ML not noticing....
Richard
