Armalite Eagle Disappator Rifle question...?

Did Armalite or Eagle Arms ever make a PreBan Disappator (i.e. full length handguards and gas system/front sight base on a 16inch barrel) style rifle? A friend says yes they did but I'm not so sure..?? 
Any help on this would be great!!!

yes they made a few, uppers only 4 or 5

We didn't make such a rifle, and I don't recall making even uppers.
They really looked homely but allowed more grip surface. We we developed the mid-length handguard instead. It looked better, allows a bayonet to fit (on our latest barrels), reduced gas port pressures common on carbines and the disapator, and allows better placement of the support hand.
