Question regarding BUIS on Armalite rifle

I would like to use BUIS on this rifle. The front and rear rail sections are not the same height though. So how do I know which front / rear BUIS system will work?

The front BUIS must be for a gas block, they are a little taller to make up for the gas block being lower.

I love it. I own Colts and a LMT but it's the most accurate of the lot. Haven't had any problems at all. From the first time I saw it in a local gun shop I had to have it.

My only complaint is the gas block. I would have rather had a standard front sight. In fact I'm thinking about having one installed and doing away with the block.

Does anyone make a front BUIS for railed gas block height that has the triangular appearance similar to the standard M-16 / M-4 front sight?

The ArmaLite fixed front sight will work well if you don't need a flip up.

Be careful mixing ArmaLite and a third party rear sight, you may end up needing the Bushmaster taller front sight post.

I see a few (three) but none of them specify whether they are taller for use on a railed gas block.

Here are the flip-up front and rear sights that are installed on the upper receiver and gas block. They're from Midwest Industries Inc. The flip up front sight is the only gas block mounted flip-up front sight we have for the AR-10.

If I use either of these, can I use an LMT rear BUIS with it like the one below? I am assuming that the EA5045 and 10806410 are a little taller to account for the lower height of the gas block rail.

No, as the LMT rear BUIS is a same plane sight. If you want to use this rear sight, you'll need to get a quad rail (either FF or 2 piece 1913) handguard. That way you could mount an EX3407 same plane flip-up front sight on the handguard.
