How much is the tragedy unfolding in Japan going to affect Vortex? Really, the optics industry as a whole?

The factories we use over there weren't directly affected, so that's a good thing, but it could slow down shipping times somewhat until things get sorted out.

Pretty sad, but everyone we know over there is safe, so we're glad to hear that.

Well, it's certainly good to hear some people escaped somewhat unscathed.

Ports in the South are supposed to be in ok shape. Emergency repairs goin on now. However, the entire coastal infrastructure has been hit pretty hard. Briges, highways, rails, etc. are out. When they do come up, as they are now, basic supplies; food, potable water, building materials, construction equip, etc. will get first priority. My guess is any parts or pieces that are made in/assembled in Japan are going to be on a long backlog.

After constructions, automotive parts and cars from Japan's flagship Toyota and Honda will be the next on the list to get priority. Trying to get my own products into Japan right now is nuts... Even for commodities.
