Went to Adam's Arms Website to order a bolt spring and...........
$20 for shipping!!!! WTF????? No Way! it's a $5 part that weighs an less than an ounce. $20 is way out of line. I'm pissed

Call them and see if they'll ship via USPS first class for a lesser charge.

Unless you chose overnight delivery or something strange that price is incorrect. Calm down and call us so we can make the necessary adjustments.
Thanks
Jim
Do you guys ship USPS?
Call them up and they'll take of you. Great company, IMO.

Might be an issue with your website. I just checked and it told me $15 for FedEx Ground.
I hope this issue gets resolved. Unreasonable, high shipping prices are like a slap in the face and don't make for happy customers and wanting to be return customers.
Just got off the phone with AA after trying to order online $15.00 for shipping what a joke. My phone call did not help much as they told me it was still going to run $10.00. Needless to say I have not ordered yet. Hopefully they can figure something out. I mean a little jewelers box and a 1st clas mail would run 2.00 for postage and what ever those little boxes would cost. Oh well.

lots of other dealers with better shipping prices..
I hit up the usual suspects including "The Google" with no luck anybody else have a line on these things
I guess I could drive 10 miles down the road to AA and send some out USPS

USPS has $5.00 flat rate shipping boxes that would work perfectly.

I just got my Piston Kit from AA.....next day FexEx delivery
I checked my Invoice and shipping was $15.00. Now this is just ME, but for the speedy delivery, almost hour-by-hour tracking and the other bennies FedEx offers, I'll pay the shipping. Mail Order is what it is, but usually (if you're out-of-state), you don't pay sales tax. I paid the $15 Bucks shipping, plus $26.53 in FL tax, and was still perfectly happy.
The service I got from AA was great, the stuff is TOP quality, and it's not that they're getting rich on what FexEx charges them for shipping.....I wish other companies offered FexEx.
f somebody doesn't want to pay the shipping, then just don't order.
Like I said, just my $.02.

that's for a piston kit. I'd probably get all excited and pay the $15 too. But The OP wants just a spring that they could stick in an envelope and pop in the mail with a stamp on it.
Whenever I see high shipping charges for an initial item that I can't get anywhere else I just snoop around and pick up stuff I'll eventually need anyway (mags or other parts) and that softens the blow.
One could go to Brownells a buy a screw, spring or cotter key and spend 1000% more to ship it too, nothing unique and not any more frustrating than driving 5 miles to Home Depot for a 99 cent light bulb, etc.
lost a firing pin for a beretta shotgun one time (that was purchased used) while cleaning . called beretta cs told the story of how i lost the part while cleaning and that it was used and a no longer manufactured shotgun . asked for the price of the part NO CHARGE , asked about the price of shipping NO CHARGE . some companies just get it .
USPS Flat Rate Box = $4.95 and they supply the box.... 'nuff said. Some companies get it and some don't. They think we won't notice that they are charging $6 more for shipping than their competitor. But we do, and it does affect how we shop.
To the OP:
You can look around for a common stainless steel spring. You'll probably find a pack of 5 for $2 at a good hardware store.
Here are the measurements of the spring taken from mine:
Free length = 0.630 inches (5/8th inches)
O.D. = 0.302 inches (pretty close to 5/16th inch OD).
Wire diameter = 0.022 inches.
Number of Coils = 4.75
Solid Length = 0.105 inches. <= this is probably the most important measurement as the cam pin needs full movement.
Don't know the spring rate, but that seems to be between 4lbs/inch to 6lbs/inch.
Guys - everyone is going on about high shipping when the AA rep told the OP to call and they're get it straightened out. Sounds like good customer service to me. Much to do over nothing IMO . . .

+1
