I'm looking at this http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/upper-parts/barrels/16-hammer-forged-chrome-lined-mid-length-light-profile-barrel.html and I just wanted to be sure that these barrels are the same FN made units as your other barrels. The description doesn't say much. Thanks

All of our CHF barrels are made by FN. Not all of our FN barrels are CHF.

Is there a way to tell from the descriptions whicn non-CHF barrels are FN built?

weight of the barrel only?

Is the gasblock section dia. also 750" - on the CHF mid, light profile barrel ?

Wonder how balanced is the CHF mid-gas light profile? (even though forward of the gas block area seems to be thicker than the profile to rear of gb section).

thanks!

Both the mid-length, and lighter weight mid-length, require .750" gas blocks.

The special lighter weight A2 profile has less weight out near the muzzle. The actual amount of weight reduced is less important than where it is reduced. Out near the muzzle a little bit of weight savings translates to a different "feel" for the rifle as a whole.

Are your 16" mid length light weight barrels marked "LW"?

Thank you mine says the same, but in front of my gas block, there is hardly any noticeable profile/contour change all the way to the flash hider.

That is correct, the assembly comes with a stripped front sight base, barrel nut and handguard cap for $259. Purchased separately these items total $263. When you purchase the assembly you get a discount on the parts and free installation of the FSB.
