Looking to hear from those who have bought the blemished m4 red dots.

What did you think? Was the large knob inconvenient or good to go?

The one I got doesn't even touch where the picture said it might.

I think Marshall had the only bad one, I have a couple and they are fine.

I got mine a week ago and it looks awesome. Mine is the multi reticle and I love it.

I bought two of the single reticle version. You can tell that the knob isn't correct, but it doesn't affect function one bit. I am more than pleased with them.

Ditto; two arrived a week after ordering. The knobs turn a bit stiffly and there isn't the slightest semblance of a "click" between the settings, the lense caps are flimsy, but the glass is clear and they zeroed easily, so all in all a very good deal.

I got my multi-reticle and love it. I can't notice any blemish about it, and the few people I've actually told about the blemish had no idea and loved the scope itself considering the price.

I bought two, my two were NOT blems. Marsh should have sorted them out and sold them for full price.

I hesitated to buy mine because it was 40% off. I figured with that kind of discount there must be something wrong but I can't find a blemish of any kind.

Just got my blem single dot this morning. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. This was my first order from primary arms and definitely not my last. Very impressed.

I recieved a tracking number about 30 minutes later and it came today. This thing looks great. Can't wait to get out and shoot with it this weekend. Happy customer.

I have been looking at these too.

Are they bright enough to use outside in bright daylight? I use an EOTech 512 and Aimpoint ML2 and have no problems with them in bright light but was wanting another couple of red dot sights for a 15-22 and a couple more 223 uppers and was just looking for info.

I took mine out Saturday. It took 5 rounds to zero at 50 yards and was hitting 10" steel at 100 yards seconds later. I love the sound of pinging steel in the morning.

Even in very bright light I have not had to go above the 3rd to last power setting

Just got mine last week. Like pretty much everyone else, mine looks and functions 100%. I am extremely, extremely happy with it so far. Now I just wish my eyes didn't suck so the reticles don't get hazy on me.

I thought I heard somewhere that the single reticle version was brighter than the multi.

Can anyone comment on this?

Yea I read that as well, can't remember exactly where it was but I definitely read that the single dot is brighter than multi.
As for my multi, it's pretty bright but I do have to strain my eyes at 100 yds aiming at a white target (orange ring) with the sun bouncing off the target at my back. I prefer to just switch to grey/black targets :p

http://Just got mine in the mail today and mounted up. Reticle on 7 is nice and BRIGHT. Looks great, glass is clear with a slight blue tint. Already lines up great with BUIS so hopefully wont need much adjustment to zero. Looks awesome on the rifle and could not be happier! Dont really notice any blems though....the knob doesn't come close to the body. Thanks for the awesome deal Marsh.

Well, UPS decided to stop torturing me and delivered my sight today. Why it spent the weekend in Phoenix, I don't know. Oh, well. The plus side is that I too, cannot find any defects! Reticle lines up perfect with the front sight, all fit and finish looks great. I can't wait for the weekend!

Thanks Marsh.

I have the Gen 1 version, like it a lot! Curious to know the difference form Gen 1 to Gen 2 apart from the obvious cosmetic difference. For the price for the "blem" Gen 2 I think I need another!

Me too!

I was wondering if the Gen II has the same size emitter that blocks the view thru the optic?

I just got mine, and the only "blem" I could find is a small glob of glue on the adjustment knob. And calling it a blemish is quite a stretch. This is by far one of the best values out there right now. Hopefully the weather holds out so I can try it out this weekend.

I picked up a multi and it looks just fine to me, I wouldn't consider it a blem at all.
Turkey season is coming up pretty soon and I was wondering if anyone has mounted a M4 sight or any other PA dot sights on a 12ga pump?
If so how did it work out for you and how did it hold up to the recoil?

Took it to the range today - windage was on and it took 8 clicks up to have it on the bulls eye at 50yds....very pleased.....

I've not done it, personally. However, I have spoken to people who have done so, and they all said it worked fine.

Question for the guys that have zeroed these. The adjustment knobs have arrows for R and U and every scope I've ever had that had these marking they were correct and would move the impact point in the direction of the label. I read the instructions for the M4 and they are opposite the markings on the knobs. Which one is correct?

The dot will move in the opposite direct from the POI. The marking refer to the POI not the dot.

Yeah that's what I'm confused about. The instructions for turning clockwise and counterclockwise to move the POI are opposite of the markings on the knobs. I will look at mine again when I get home to make sure I wasn't just reading it wrong though.

The arrows on the knobs indicate the change in direction of the point of impact

At what distance do ya'll recommend/or have it sighted it in at for a 22lr? or .223?

Ok I'm looking at mine right now. The instruction sheet says:

"To move the point of impact to the right, turn windage adjustment screw counter clockwise"
and
"To move the point of impact up, turn elevation adjustment screw counter clockwise"

On the windage screw there is an R and an arrow pointing clockwise.
On the elevation screw there is a U and an arrow pointing clockwise.

Which is correct? I will try to get to the range this weekend to verify.

Unless I am misunderstand you, you are saying the same thing at the top and bottom.

Move the POI right, turn the windage screw CW. The R has an arrow pointing CW, which moves the POI right. The dot internally will move to the left so the POI will move right.

Same with the left markings.

No they are opposite. Instructions say right is CCW, marking show CW. Same for up.

I guess I'll have to get my instructions out and look at them. I guess I just went by the arrows on the sight.
