Ok first impression this drum is rock solid ! with only minor issue that already been addressed and fixed.
Smooth and easy. Even my 7 years old son didn't have any problem loading it.
Smooth no hick up with variety of ammo with both CMMG and Ciener kit.
Range test 1
RRA lower, RRA upper 1/9 16" with CMMG and Ciener kit (clean and lubed), Fed auto match ammo. Mag sat nice and tight with little play. CMMG kit slow fired the first 25 rounds no ftf, no fte. Ciener kit slow fired second 25 rounds No FTF/FTE.
Same with Rapid fired using both kits and full 50 rounds each time not a single hick up and no visual of mag separation.
Range test 2
AA lower, RRA upper 1/7 10.5" with CCMG and Ciener kit (recleaned and lubed) CCI standard. Mag sat a lot looser than RRA lower. CMMG kit slow fired the first 45 rounds No FTF/FTE. Ciener kit slow fired 48 rounds No FTF/FTE.
So far so good so I loaded up 30 rounds of the Aguila SSS and give it a go with the Ciener kit. No FTF/FTE. I'm extremely happy at this point with this mag so far
we ran through 8 more 50rds boxes and junk ammo that I found in my range bag ( We start having FTF and FTE
) but we all know it's not the magazine problem.
Now let really put it to a real test with some FA fun.
Range test 3
Colt lower with happy switch
, RRA upper 1/9 16" with CMMG kit (re-cleaned and lubed). Fed bulk ammo. Mag sat nice and firm with little play. It ran like a sewing machine with some a FTF and FTE. I also start noticing the mag separation at the bottom of the tower, but everything still going smooth. We ran through another box of 550 as complementary from a guy that was shooting across from us. We decided be nice and let him run 2 mags out of that
There you have it folks another awesome product straight from Black Dog Machine that are being made right here in the USA. Keep up the good work Kevin and thanks for letting me be one of your tester
