IF Tac Sols lawyers have half a brain they wouldn't do it since Remington's announced to the world that the 17 HMR is not safe in semi auto firearms. Remington recalled their 597 in 17 HMR stating that the Manufacturer of their 17 HMR ammo (probably Hornady) had notifed them that the 17HMR was unsuitable for use in semi auto firearms.
They would be opening themselves up to law suits if their was a kaboom with the ammo in their gun.
I finally got the refund check last week on my 597 17 HMR.
Volquartsen Custom doesn't have any issues with the 17 HMR.
I dont think Tac Sol wants to go down that road....
I've asked a few times over the years... they DID at one time make a 17hm2 10/22 barrel, but I think it wasn't upto their standards and was Obsolete Shortly After...
Here is a review done awhile back. (not by me)

I liked my .17M2 upper. Ammo just way too expensive though. Had to get rid of it.
