Is there a pinned low profile gas block that is used for replacing a fixed FSB? I have a LMT M4 style upper that I would like to put a low profile gas block on. I would like to use a pinned gas but but am unsure if there is something out there that would use the same pin slots. Any help would be appreciated.
No.
I swear we've had this same thread at least three times in the last few days.

To answer your questions: No. Standard pinned front sight bases are drilled and pinned together to created a mated assembly. The nature of the process for drilling and pinning them is not exactly repeatable, so the resulting parts are generally NOT INTERCHANGEABLE with other similar parts. There is no pinned on gas block that will drop in and use the same pin holes/slots as the existing sight base.
Your options for replacement are:
cut down the existing sight base (removes the possibility of going back to existing configuration)
replace with a gas block, pinned with the pin holes in a different location on the barrel
replace with a clamp on style gas block
I do not recommend a set screw type block to put on a barrel previously drilled for taper pins. The set screw going in to the pin slot is not a secure and stable installation.
Listen to Gamma. I would suggest chopping your current block, its easy to do and have it come out good.
Thanks for the info and sorry for the duplicate post.

Just cut your FSP. I was totally freaked out to do it and have virtually 0 "gunsmithing" experience/skilles (not even sure that could remotely qualify as gunsmithing), but it turned out great. Just take it slow, follow the tutorials, and you'll be fine. You won't miss the FSP one bit.

Honestly I really don't have a problem doing it. I was just looking for the cleanest method. My FSB seems to be a bit canted (have to run my rear sight to the left more than I would like) so lopping it off wouldn't hurt my feelings.
