 30 Remington AR Range Trip

Much needed rain kept me from going to the range earlier than today.

My range's benchrest positions are "tunnels" made of 8X8" railroad ties that keep errant shots from going over or to the sides of the berm which doesn't have downrange safety zones but the downside was that I couldn't get my so so benchrest device (MTM) low enough to get on target at 100 w/o the AR pistol grip resting on the hard, slippery plastic surface. Probably ought to get a bipod for it.

So, shot at 50 and I'm not the world's best benchrest shooter. Got a 6-shot group of 0.5". Fun gun, makes a lot of commotion at the backstop.

A lot more recoil than a typical .223 AR but nothing at all to worry about. Don

That's good shootin Don. Maybe make a custom bench rest of wood, a little short, and bring a few different height shims, to adjust for the right height for the AR at the range.
