Add another 604 to the repro list (pic)
My newest gun, a 604. The making between the legs of the FSB look to have been hit with a grinder, what I do know is the barrel has a 12 at the muzzle, a smoothed FSB, and a C on the barrel extension. Upper is a 604 I scavenged a a year or so ago. The barrel originally came with a black LM upper. Bolt carrier is SP1 spec, hoping to change that soon as it's had a few hiccups with the FCG catching on the firing pin. Stock is a type d I picked up off the trader a few years ago. Hand guards are drain hole hg's with no L or R markings. I naval jellied the FCG (hence the black mag button). It came out to a pretty good grey. I was mainly worried with "taking the black" out of FCG so it didn't clash so hard.
Shwizeeeeeeeeet! Looks like one of the 80's-era cast lowers like I had. Wish I still had it! Nice build sir. I like 604's-no Forward Assist.
Damn fine job

NICE!!

Yes, it is an E.A lower. I needed a pre-ban receiver so I couldn't go with a nodak spud lower :(
Way back when, when I started learning about retro I never thought I'd have a 604 rifle. I didn't know where to find 604 uppers, never had saw triangle handguards in person, and couldn't fathom finding anything other than an A2 stock. Let alone where to find A1 barrels.
I should have a report on how she shoots sometime this week

Looks good! +1 on that lower - nice... looking forward to the range report!
Keep an eye on the Equipment Exchange and you will find the grey mag button and maybe even a no-tic mark safety to finish that off!
It looks very good. They look right with a 3-prong suppressor.
I think there are some grey mag release buttons on RBR forum...at least there were.
Good job...she looks great.
You need a notched hammer for a SP-1 bolt and it will work fine

Very nice.

Already got one in there. It doesn't hang all the time but holding the trigger keeps it out of the way when it does. It's a quick thing to fix, just have to change it out for a new bolt carrier. I also put a ar15 firing pin in it. I'm going to try to get a slick side carrier for it.
nice job. one retro down ????????? to go
Nice looking build!
Can't wait till NDS gets more lowers done up!
Also check your email.
When I showed my wife she picked it up, shouldered it, and started pointing it around the room going "pew pew pew".

Nice rfile! In that situation, my wife would say, "take it out to the garage!"
Nice use of an EA lower, can we see some more pictures?

I like 604's a lot. Wish I hadn't sold mine now, but at least it went to a good guy. (VN Vet) Great job - more pics please! Did you stencil the stock or was it stenciled?

It came like that, there is also a smaller "22" stenciled on the top / back of the stock. I'll get more pictures shortly :)
Show's the smoothed front sight block, ground off mark, and not pictured is the '12' stamped at the end of the barrel. And the FSB does not have a drain hole.

I remember that barrel now, too bad they ground the markings off. With the "C" at the extension I guess you have a "M VP" barrel. I like the rust / wear on the barrel too.
