My first AR-15 was exactly like that, a Colt Sp1 Carbine.

Nice rifle! my first planned purchase when I move out of NJ is a Colt SP1 carbine... that or a cheap MAC-10 style pistol cant have either here. I built my carbine to be a clone of the SP1, but its on a full fence A2 lower, it was the closest I could get at the time.

so, what's the plan with it? any mods??

I'm gonna trick it out! I'm thinking maybe an M4 piston upper with a bunch of Magpul stuff and an Aimpoint and magnifier?

aluminum stock? pfft, ctr ftw. that barrel doesn't even have the m203 cutout.
