 My Colt M16A2 Clone

I just turned my 6520 into what I wanted to begin with. I added a new Colt M16A2 Upper and Buttstock assembly from autoweapons.com. The upper is black and matches almost perfectly, but you can see a slight shade difference in pictures from certain angles. If the rollmark said "Rifle" instead of "Carbine" it would be perfect! Now I need an A4...

Beautiful! My 6551 is my favorite rifle. Probably because it is similiar to the first rifle that was issued to me.

Really, really nice. I want to get my post ban barrel threaded, so it will be a little closer to what you have. Damn, that is sweet.

Awesome. The roll mark is cooler than mine. My 6551 lacks the bayonet lug and flash hider.

I like it. An off topic question though: is that selector original to the lower? I ask because I have one like it and am trying to pin down the manufacturers who use it.
thanks

The selector is original to the lower.

Compared to a Garand, it feels like a carbine...but I'm going to fix the roll mark with my dremel and some cold blue...

A few manufacturers use those selectors now. Colt and Spike's I know for sure use them, but I think there are a few more.

Rember when we first got our's in the Natinoal Guard in the 80's all of them where AR15 colt converted to Auto. Had the US property stamp on them. I was glad I was tired of the triangle guards pinching my hands. LOL

Great looking rifle. I built my A2 using the same parts, but my M16A2 upper is is grey instead of black.

Bayo lug is no biggie....but you NEED to send that barrel to ADCO and have a FH put on it...like the Good Lord intended!!!

To be honest, I'm 1 year from grad school. Many potential grad schools are in ban states. I haven't decided if I'm going to do it yet. If I do, I can probably switch out my colt lower for one of my dad's prebans, but I don't know if I really want to deal with it. I'm already going to need a new white oak barrel for my high power build if that happens.

I have a similar piece built on a 6920LE lower, and looks a lot like yours....not surprisingly! When it comes to Alpha Deuce,,,,Colt really
shines!!
